Uploading Additional Modules

Hello

I want to upload the Canada Post Module and I am usire of how. The install instructions state to save to my zeninstalls and re-upload to server, but won't this default all of my configurations back?

I feel really silly, and have managed to fugure out just about everything, but this one is beyond me.

I've never used the CanadaPost mod, but that sounds to me like what they are saying is firstly back up all of your installation and database, which is a good precaution anyway.

Upload normally implies that you are putting files onto the server, and the normal methodology is that the mod has the same folder structure as the Zen Cart install - there is an admin folder with files and folders for the admin section, ditto includes, etc etc
and you 'overlay' those onto the existing installation.

If you have a lot of mods installed, and the new mod overwrites core Zen Cart files, there is always a possibility that you will wipe out additions from a previous mod. To prevent this, you would have to compare any such files, and merge the additions/alterations from the two mods into 1 file, and use that. And of course if you yourself have made changes to core files.

I have no idea what a "zeninstalls" (as you call it) directory is, unless it needs to be added to zc_install at install time rather than later?
