Associate several manufacturers with a product

Is there any way to accomplish this?

I want to be able to associate 1 product with several different manufacturers.

Also, is there a good way to list all manufacturers with link and logo in an ez-page?

It really can't be done easily. If you look at the "products" table, you will see that you have the column manufacture_id in there, so 1 product can only associates with 1 manufacturer. To change this, we have to change the way a product is linked to manufacturers, and this will break lots of built-in functions, so we will also have to make changes there.

Tell us the main reason why you need it, we can work it some other way around.

Okay, I see. Here's what im trying to do. I run a model content brokerage and sell photos of models that people use in different ventures like advertising, presentation and similar. Each product has a certain number of pictures, called a set. For each set there might be several different models in the same photoshoot. This is why I need to tie a product to several manufacturers.

I was thinking renaming manufacturers to models and using each manufacturer as a model. What I want is a page where you can view all models in alphabetic order with thumbnails and when you click on a model you are taken to all the sets in which that model appears.

Perharps im making it harder than it has to be or maybe I missed a function that will allow this, please advise I would also pay to have someone create a module or something that does this.
