I'm always appreciative when I get help. But his response to my problem was basically, "Fix whatever you broke". That doesn't help me. Like I said, it was working fine and then it stopped. I've looked in html_header.php and tpl_footer.php and I can't seem to find the problem.![]()
Hello Fellas.
When validating the RSS Feeds, I am also having the same error:
"XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity"
I am using ZC v1.3.8a and everything is working flawlessly. My shared server specs are as follow:
Server OS: Linux 2.4.21-53.ELsmp
Database: MySQL 4.1.22-max-log
HTTP Server: Apache
PHP Version: 4.3.11 (Zend: 1.3.0)
PHP Safe Mode: Off
PHP File Uploads: On
Max Size: 2M POST Max Size: 8M
This error is appearing after -right out of the box- installation of the RSS Feeds contribution.
I checked and rechecked and everything is on its place. Changed the function call to every position in the header between <HEAD> and </HEAD> and even before the HEAD block. It sounds like the typical space before the XML tags, but couldn't find anything.
If I put the suggested code for the RSS image on the footer, it shows the icon as expected, but feeds are not working.
Please, if anyone can shed a light on this, it will be greatly appreciated. RSS Feeds are very, very important as a promotion tool. I am sure that everyone will appreciate this nice peace of software working right.
Best regards,
Rick
