The module will be discontinued and a new SagePay module will be released instead. It'll essentially be the same except for changing the name. It'll simply be renamed to sagepay_direct instead of protx_direct and will have both the Protx and Sage Pay logos. There's a good 6 months for everyone to upgrade so there's no rush.

All you'll have to do is install the module, copy across your configuration settings, disable the "old" protx_direct module and that's it, just use the sagepay_direct module as if nothing had happened!

Once customers get used to "SagePay", the Protx logo can be disabled in the sidebox.

    All the best...

    When are you releasing this?

    When it's ready!

The current module will still keep working for another 6 months so there's not an urgent need for me to drop everything. It shouldn't be long (next week if I can, later in May if I can't get the time next week) but I won't commit to any date. Hope you can understand!

I am currently using the free version which has worked very well and I'm looking to upgrade to the paid version. I have a couple of questions:
    1. Should I wait until you've completed the changes for Sagepay?
    2. I registered with protx using the link on your site but haven't received the voucher - how do i get the £5 off?

Just added the module to our site and it worked great - one thing, we have a paypal option added within our sagepay admin area aswell as the various cards, how do we get this to show up on the checkout process as a protx option?

You can't. Zen Cart has PayPal built in so this functionality isn't necessary.

    Glad you like the module!

    Hi Connor

I have your protex (now sage pay) module on my site and I have just migrated to a new server. I have, of course made sure that I have updated my sagepay account with the new IP addresses and all seems to be working ok with cc's being transacted fine. However I have one small (?) problem in that if a customer makes a mistake, or their card is declined, or anything other than a perfect transaction I get a white screen. In the address bar of the browser I see a long winded url with the basis of what's wrong wit hthe transaction (eg, issuing bank declined coz the buyer is skint) but nothing actually on the page.

Do you have any ideas why this may be?

Incidentally this was the case with the site when migrated with the 'old' protex module and in tha last few days I have downloaded the update - sagepay module and get the same error. Could it be a pemissions issue as my new host will not allow 777 permissions?

    Cheers

    Rob

My sincere apologies for posting the above on the wrong thread.

I have now posted it correctly but cannot remove the above post.

red flag Re: Protx VSP Direct 2.4.0

    Conor,

Just dowloaded v2.6.2 and have been looking for the readme file or installation instructions. Can you, or someone else, please tell me where to find these?

There's a _docs folder in the distribution. Just double click on index.html!

This distribution is a bit of date now, we'll most likely be releasing a free Sage Pay equivalent soon.

    All the best..

Thanks - I hope the upgrade to SagePay won't be too difficult...
