Is it possible for me to put my shop on hold so no one can buy anything, but everything is still viewable? I'm looking to do this when I go to craft fairs.

You can, in think you can set it as "Showcase" only, check admin->configuration->store status
I no longer provide installation support on forum for all my modules. However, if there are real bugs with the modules please feel free to contact me
