    Default Delivering PINs through email

The product will be delivered as PIN through email. Together with some instructions about how to use it.

    So it is not download.

I wonder if someone can enlighten me on this or is already doing this

    Thank you!

Assuming that these PINs emails will be sent manually, simply create your products as products; when purchased, the client receives an order acknowledgment. You can then go to the orders page on admin, clcik edit and then send a "dispatched" email and add your comments; your comments include the PIN.

It may be worth making it obvious to your client that they will receive 2 emails; you could even word it so that they have to respond to the confirmation in order to get the PIN - an extra layer of security.

On the other hand, if you are intending to generate the email with the PIN automatically, then I'm afraid I can't come up with any suggestions at the moment - apart from perhaps using the order id no as the PIN.

So you have a database of pre-created pins?

    Yes.
    I have a database of pre-created PINs.
The ideal would be that everything would be automatic, obviously.

    1. Users buys card.
    2.User gets PIN by email
3.Zen takes the PIN from the pool of PINS, and sends the PIN to the customer after payment is done.
    4.User talks.

You can either add this to the order email ... or you might want to consider adding this to a separate email ...

This would be done in the checkout_process module ...

It would also be a good idea to store the PIN database id to either the orders_products table or the orders_id to the PIN database when processed ...

This allows additional benefits of looking up a PIN for customers who lose it, and they will ...

    I understand this...but I am not really a programmer.

My knowledge is limited to asking what I need.

And I was wondering if someone already thought about this.

I have thought a lot about this ...

But have not had anyone hire me to write it ...

Definitely sounds like something that would be a real time saver to you if this was automated to get the PIN to the customer and allow them to retrieve it when it is lost ...

Afraid that would be best in a PM as discussing custom coding charges is not for the forum, thanks ...
