How do I set up Items for PreBooking, with or without deposit?

For example:

Item X available Oct 15 - prebook now and save 10%.
Item is $10, you get it for $9.
You can add it to your cart, now but are not charged until it is available.

Item Y available by PreBook only with 20% deposit.
Item is $100, charged $20 at time of booking and remainder at time of shipping.

Is this possible?

Those features are not part of a stock Zen Cart. You would need some custom logic to determine who gets charged for what and when under all of the various situations.
