Selling gift items

I've asked this question in other threads without much progress. Of all the stores that use ZenCart, there must be stores that allow for the sale of GIFT items, items that are purchased by one person and sent to another. I have managed to set up a system through which I can sell gift subscriptions, but it would be much easier if there was a gift module to allow any item to be purchased by one person and sent to another as a gift. Perhaps there is, but I have not found it.
