    Default Quantity Attributes?

My customer wants the following attributes assigned to each of their products...

    1-5 Pieces $00.00

    6-12 Pieces $00.00

    13-24 and more $00.00

Also, there will be color, guages, and size attribute choices per product to.

Can someone explain to me how to do this?

    Thanks in advance!

    hello LMW1:
This is what you need to do.
    1. in your product page (I will use Copper Lamp as an example) you need to have a Product Priced by Arrtibutes to say yes.
    Next:
    1. select Catalog > Option Name Manage
    2. Select the Drop Down menu for Display Global Features to - OFF.
    3. in the en: box type in a name (I will call it Lamp Price1)
for the order: place a number in it this is a sorter.
for the Dropdown menu select Checkbox.
    4 click on insert.
    5. Click on edit and add the info you want. Note in the en: comments you would want to type this 1-5 Pieces
    6. Click on updates
7 Next click on option Values button clickon the option Names button
8 in the checkbox click on if and find Lamp Price1
in the en: box Type Lamp Price1 (or whatever you want)
select the Order: you want it to be again this is a sorter.
    9 click on insert
10 click on the Attribute Controller.
    11. Find the Catalog your info is on ie
    12. you will see something like
CATERGORIES - Interactive Design > Name of Your Catalog
Look for Copper Lamp and select it.
    Click the display button.
Next scroll down until you see ADDING NEW Attributes.
in the Option Name select Lamp Price1
in the option Value select Lamp Price1 (or whatever name you gave it.
In Prices and Weights type in the info.
    Click the insert button.
Note fill in the attribute flags if you have an image you can add one here.
Repeat process until you have all your info done.

I hope that helped you and was not to confussing.

thanks, that's helpful info for a single inventory item, but how would one apply those same piece counts to the entire inventory?

    bug Re: Quantity Attributes?

I've also discovered that you can do this:

    1. In admin go to catalog > categories/products > your inventory item.

    2. in the inventory listing there are various circular buttons on the right. choose the green one with the $. This is the products price manager.

    3. Go to the bottom of the page, choose add blank discounts. you have a drop down menu under discount type. Choose "actual price" set minimum quantity to "1". set discount price for the price. you desire.
in the next one, set minumum value to "5". then set the next price. This will display pricing scedule in the product detail, and automatically calculate the price based on the quantity entered by the customer.

I was hoping that there was a way to build these options into EVERY item in a catalog, but haven't yet seen a way to do so, other than manually, one at a time.

I was also hoping there was a way to display some of the prices to one group, and other prices to another group, but again, I haven't seen this solution yet.

I'm trying to follow these instructions but I can't find the add blank discounts option at the bottom of the price manager page. What version of zencart is these instructions for?
