The zip file, after being successfully downloaded, shown this error when opened: start of central directory not found; Zip file corrupt.
I removed the .htaccess file inside download/ folder and the files were able to be downloaded & opened by direct linking to them, so the problem must be within thee Zen-Cart code for transferring the files.
You can try to go to the folder directly in http://webextremecustomiser.com/download/

Done with the problem, if you found a similar problem, try checking your Zen-Cart root installation folder, find a folder named "pub" and change its permission to 777.

Thanks for posting the solution that you had just forgotten to set the permissions on the directory /pub ... always a help to others ...![]()

This has cropped up for me again. (sigh) I know I need to upgrade to 1.3.8a (currently in 1.3.7), but again dread the time involved. I am not sure if this will solve the issue or if it is truly my host. Has anyone else had this problem using Siteground as your host? If necessary, PM me privately about it.
Also, I have the occasional issue of a customer getting kicked out of their account when signed in or first signing in to the point that they become so frustrated they don't buy. Would this be something going on with my server or Zen Cart? (They will try repeated times to do it and finally give up.) I know Zen Cart is a great program and many people use it successfully. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. If it's me, my server, etc. At least one person I know of does not have any apostrophes in their address. (I read this being a problem with Authorize.net in another thread.)
Thanks,
Marci

Thank you for this thread, I just changed the permisson on the pub folder to 777, now to get some customers to test it for me. Freya, I use siteground also. I will have to get back to you on whether or not changing the permission on pub worked or not.
My problem is pretty consistant with all that were mentioned here. Except my pdf downloads were never an issue. Only my zip files. And they were never a problem for me.. go figure I could download till the cows came home and never got an error, my customers on the other had... oh wow... it has gotten to the point of embarressing, zip would work fine for one customer and the very same zip would be corrupt for the next.
Don't know why they always work for me. But I did have a friend test it and out of 4 downloads 1 was corrupt for her. I will have to have test this again, but in the mean time I do have customers currently on my site shopping so I hope I don't get any customer support emails needing help.
I'll post back as soon as I verify this solution has worked for me using site ground.
