Ajeh,
As I have not received any more emails complaining of corrupted downloads, I do believe the problem is fixed. (Cheering from the sidelines.)
Thank you very much!

Thanks for reporting back.
That updated file contains some code changes that accommodate some loosely-configured hosting setups, along with a number of additional improvements.
It will be built-in to v1.3.8 when it comes out.

Strangely enough, I just received an email today with the complaint that the file was a corrupted Word document. I am scratching my head because it's a zipped PDF. How did it become a Word file?
I saw that I was running 1.3.6 on that particular site, but honestly, I could have sworn I updated to 1.3.7. (sigh)

I would suspect that the only way it could be downloaded as a .doc file is if the customer chose to name it as .doc when choosing the download destination location/filename instead of leaving it as .zip -- maybe they don't know what a zip file is? Maybe they don't have an unzip program and assumed they needed to treat it as a Word doc?
Have them email the file back to you.
Try renaming it from .doc to .zip and see if it unzips properly.

I requested the corrupted file earlier today from the customer, but have yet to see it. I also requested the customer go to his account and attempt to download it again and let me know what the process was and what happened for him. I am crossing my fingers that he responds.

Okay. So the customer sent me the file. It is zipped, but I can't unzip it, which is weird. The program shows it as unzipping, but the file never appears. Can I email it to you, Ajeh?

Hi all,
I've been having the same issues for a while with the UK Template.
Some people have no problem some do.
There is something weird happening and here's what I've noticed.
It happens with all browsers.
It happens on all connection speeds.
It happens with or without a firewall or virus checking.
In Firefox I found my best clue.
When the zip file is downloaded if you click 'Open' after you have downloaded the file then win-zip displays the files.
If you navigate to the file and right click the file and select Explore - the file is corrupt.
However - if you right click and choose the winzip 'extract to here' function the file opens fine.
I've tried this compressing the files with winzip and 7z and I get the exact same problem both times.
I'm beginning to think that the problem is with Microsoft's built in zip/unzip/explore utility. Clients that have used winzip haven't (as far as I've been told) experienced issues. Those using the windows built in function have.
just my 2c

Hi Kev, nice to see you back again.
I've had the same problem for years but as it is very intermittent I had just learnt to live with it. What can I add?
I allow 5 downloads per product and if the first attempt is unsuccessful the other 4 will be as well. Obviously though I don't hear from those who are successful on attempt 2, 3 or 4.
Mostly I just email the file for ease but on the occasions I have later reset the downloads and asked them to try again they are successful so could it be session linked?
I've had customers make successful purchases only to come back a few weeks later and buy something else only to find the download fail.
With me the downloaded files always appear to be smaller so the download seems to end prematurely.
When it started I spoke to my host but they could not identify anything. At the time they had a customer who was running an oS Cart on the same server and they had a similar issue. The only consistency my host could find with theirs was that whenever the problem occurred MSN Bot was on their site. This did not seem to be the case with me so I think this was just a coincidence.
Chris, I still have a corrupt copy on file that a customer emailed me way back when the problem fist appeared. I can send it to you if it helps.
Finally I've never been able to replicate the problem.
