    Default Install Permissions Question 777

I have loaded the software to the server. Did the 2 updates (Admin and xss)
Now I am in the install instructions and says to change certain items to permission code 777. I right click and bring up properties on the folder to change, but also asks for me to make a choice
"Apply to this folder" and also "Apply to files and folders inside it".
Should I have both checked when changing the permission code to 777? Or just the folder?

Also I note that there are some way down the tree that need to have permission changed, I think then that I just need to change then the last one at the end?

    Thanks in advance

You only need to change the folders mentioned, not the ones inside.

Yes, just change the folders at the end.

If it's not relating to permissions and your next question isn't predicated upon anything discussed already, then yes, a new thread would be appropriate.
