Easiest start method..upload several products to your site,
full entered, with model number, image, description etc etc.
Then export test file from easy populate screen, save to your
home computer...use OpenOffice to view..works better than
    excel
Have you first tried instructions in my previous post, shown above.
This sample file should show how easy populate defines paths
    to your image folders.

I did follow your instructions. I ended up deleting the file and starting over. Seems to be working - thanks.

has anyone tried the latest version 2.76?

I'm getting no error messages; it's saying !NEW PRODUCT! at the end of each line, but nothing is being imported into the database and no new products.

I got the same thing, it would create the category(if new) and give the "New Product!" message but no upload. I was poking around the easypopulate.php code and saw that it was calling mysql instead of zen_db in some instances but when I changed it I got some error codes and I don't quite know enough yet to figure it out.

I liked the more definable interface in the admin so I hope someone that knows more than me can figure out the problems, I don't think they are too major, so we can use this.

I pulled the easypopulate files off my Numinix website and just ftp'd them onto the site I was setting up and the file imported perfectly.

It's an older version though with configuration settings that weren't present in the 2.75 and 2.76 versions.

if its anything like the problem I was having. I uploaded the files first to the temp directory, then uploaded from the easypopulate in admin, and seems to have solved this. Before that I was having the same problem, no errors, said new product, but no new products showed up.

    Hope this helps.
