To add addition clarification to my post about the missing shipping....
If the missing shipping info is ignored and the checkout form is completed, the next checkout page, the one just before passing off to Paypal, does have the shipping detail and amount correct.

I suppose I could try to turn off the "Shopping cart" details on the first checkout page.....but this is not ideal.
