Do you have a valid ID for the USPS Web Tools?
Is this a live store or the test data?
What are you running on, Windows, WAMP 2 , Linux ?
Where do you enter an address in what USPS form?
Are both your columns on during checkout, if so, any chance it's squeezing the center page and making it not show?
Hi all,
I've installed FEC 1.8.1 running on Zencart v1.3.8a
I've encountered a few problems:
1. enabling easy signup / login, this do allow the user to buy without an account BUT you have to add the link somewhere on the checkout page to direct it to no_account? this isnt really the issue, but the problem is having no account takes 5 steps to purchase while signup only 3 step (create account, checkout and confirm) i dont get why would anyone want to put their details and having to go through 5 steps to complete a purchase. For me thats not very fast and easy.
2. (Important question) At the checkout page for payment, shipping and billing. There are 2 buttons to change address for shipping and billing. When you click on this you will get a flash popup little window inside the same page which you can add a new address or select a previous one. This box does not work, if you input a new address or select a previous address and hit submit it still goes to main_page=checkout_shipping_address page where you have to input it again (so your previous input/selection was not saved or entered into the database at all).
Many Thanks,
JTHeed,
Thank you for your reply and answer in the post (link provided above). It solved the problem, not due to the syntax / bracket, but due to the fact that that file did not sit in "mytemplate" folder but under the default.
Moved it across and hey presto! I have the first page of checkout showing. I did try with or without bracket and it made no difference, but thank you for the help.
Regards
Michael
Okay now having the same issue as soxophoneplayer. I cannot change the carriage selection. It is defaulting to flat rate best way on the first page and click any of the other options (per item, or store pick up) does not update the cart and does not carry through to the next page.
Just a small point. I have noticed that the shipping options are not listed one other the other in a list but are stacked with the first showing abox out side the second whose box is out side of the 3rd option (stacked rather than a list, if that makes sense)
Wondering if this is the reason for the error.
Also just a point on the order of things on this page. Would it not make sense to have the choice of carriage first which updates the cart totals below it once clicked so the customer does not get confused wondering how or why the carriage cost appeared.
thanks in advance for any help.
Regards

Do you have it set to one page checkout?
Split page True or False.
I have mine set both to True.
Shipping will always DEFAULT to the Cheapest Method. I am able to change the shipping company and as soon as I do, it refreshes the screen with the new shipping charges.
Are you saying that your does not refresh the screen after choosing a different shipper?
where can i download this module.
This is a post from the Numinix forum, and I am having this issue as well. Just wondering if anyone else had this problem, and if so, how you fixed it?
Thanks!I noticed that when an item that is marked as "always free shipping" the one page checkout (and likely when one page is disabled) shows all of the shipping methods still. I also noticed that no radio button for shipping method is checked. The total calculates correctly, but the other options can be selected still. If you select another method, it reflects the change in the OT as far as pricing goes, but it still says "free shipping" to the left of the updated charge in OT.
I thought this was just an error with my website, but I just test a free shipping product on the FEC demo shop, and the same is true there, the only exception being the other available method is store pickup which also has $0.00 price.
It looks like in the js on the checkout/header_php.php and in the tpl_checkout_stacked.php files it looks for whether the cart has only "always free shipping" items, but doesn't appear disable/not show the other methods like it should (imho).
Any thoughts?
