    Default Font size, spacing issues

Hello everyone - this is a pretty pathetic cry for help - I'm trying to prettify a site I set up 6 months ago and then ignored because of this problem...and I'm struggling again...I can't seem to get any kind of uniformity between browsers, but I'm not really bothered by that - or the different font sizes in my box headings (even though I've tried setting every font size the same and modifying from there)...the thing that is really driving me nuts is the product pages - in the table, everything ovelaps and on the individual pages the buttons are all scrunched, and overlap the picture. the text is too big relative to the home page and nothing lines up. I'd like to tidy this up before I really start promoting the site. One of the problems is I'm working on a really old Mac system so none of the CSS browser tools that everyone recommends, work. And I can't do anything about upgrading until I earn some money...bit of a sticky wicket! can anyone help? (by the way, I'm on slow dialup too so trial and error changes are very frustrating).
    Cheers

I can't see that much wrong with your site. You haven't by chance been trying to view it using that truly *&$@ browser IE for Mac have you? If so, it would be no surprise if it looked dodgy, but would be the virtually extinct browser and not the site that's at fault.

There are a couple of minor coding changes that you should make:

    1. In your login sidebox the input fields have size = 24. That's much to big and causes them to overflow the space allocated to the sideboxes.

    2. In your tell a friend sidebox, there is a hardcoded style="width: 84px" for the button, which is too small for the button text and should be increased.

Other than that, I suggest finding a PC with recent versions of the browsers and taking a look. I suspect you may be in for a pleasant surprise. There's certainly work to be done, but it's far from being a disaster.

I agree. I'm using Firefox and other than the issues Kuroi mentioned, it's a nice-looking site. Soothing color palette choice too, very clean lay-out.

Many public libraries (at least here in the States) have internet access. Or you might want to hit an internet cafe. OR, do you have a friend or co-worker you can "rent" computer time from them for a couple of hours to use their newer computer?

Hello Kuroi and madmumbler - thank-you for your positive comments. I'm using an early version of mozilla browser and the site looks OK ish but I'd still like to tidy it up - I've looked at it through firefox and IE 6/7 on other computers and I still think the product table looks squashed and overlapped. I've had a rootle around and can't seem to make the changes you suggest Kuroi - do you know where I might find those bits of code - they don't seem to be in the stylesheet and I'm a complete innocent with websites!
    cheers

    Default Browsers

Hello everyone. I'm having cross-browser/screen resolution problems with my site:

    www.occultsupplies.co.uk

The biggest problem is that the logo creeps down into the space below, overlapping (and sometimes underlapping) the material beneath the header.

I'm using Firefox, which seems to display everything quite well, but in IE it looks awful. The sideboxes sometime appear in the wrong places, and sometimes the fonts are the wrong size.

Anyone familiar with cross-browser issues on Zen-Cart?
