Default Help with UK hosted SSL and suggested donation

    Hi

I am using UK based host for my own site ( I know it's not perfect but I am still building this site!).
My host provides me with 10Mb of SSL space with a security certificate. Great! I don't have to pay extra for the Certifcate (thawte), but which parts of the ZenCart upload go into the SSL folder?

I am assuming that I cannot mention the hosts name!

I am bound to get some answers suggesting that I change host, but the service is very good and this is just more wasted time and money.

By the way, although the cart is hosted on a Linux Server, apparently the SSL is Windows hosted, but I imagine that there are ways of pointing the cart to the correct folders depending on which module is being used.

Also, I have finally got to grips with the stylesheets (hurrah!) as I finally had an epiphany with CSS (double hurrah). I am in the middle of building two showcase only sites for customers. What is the suggested donation for the use of ZenCart.
I'm really impressed with this software, I want to contribute to its ongoing existence.

    Thanks

There really isn't a suggested donation amount but the way some do it is by making monthly donations which can be set up at:
    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...es&pages_id=14

Others, base it on percentage of sales ...

And others base it on a per installation per release ...

And then there are others who never consider helping support Zen Cart ...

All donations are greatly appreciated as they do help us continue to develop Zen Cart and offer the Free forum to all of our members ... our success is your success ...

Whenever a Hoster is providing a Shared SSL Cert then it is best to ask the Hoster any SSL related questions. They are in the best position to give correct & accurate information.

    Default UK hosted shared SSL

    Hi

I appreciate the answers but I feel certain that someone out there knows which Zencart files should be placed in the SSL folder.

If not guess I'll have to change hosts, but this will cost me a significant and inconvenient amount!

Thanks for the pointers on the donations though.

You need to have a complete set of files in the SSL folder, images and all,

but just so you know, it has been discussed before that linux and windows dont mesh well

I guess that answers my particular problem. Thanks Merlinpa, time for some new hosting then.
