Image Titles Support Thread

Hi, I have this mod installed and it looks to be working great as I have tested it out with a product name. Although I'm having trouble including it on the pages I really need it implemented on. I was hoping someone could give me a push in the right direction? I've tried using title_image_exists($text_to_replace, $image_file_name, $extension_if_different) as suggested but I don't think I'm editing it properly.

I'm looking to use it as titles for my categories:

and also on some defined pages:
http://www.a cidf ree.co.uk/catalog/index.php?main_page=page_3

Hi, I am having a little issue with internet explorer. I manually added an image in my right sidebox (testimonials) to replace the title. Then changed my mind and tried to revert back to text title. Since then the image is not showing, neither is the text but I now have an empty image box where the image once was. Firefox seems to handle the error by simply not displaying it, where as IE and safari show the empty box.
Any help is much appreciated. my domain is www.shabbylane.co.uk

Do you mean by putting an image named boxhead-testimonials.gif in /includes/templates/your_template/buttons/english/?

What is the image name? How did you "try to revert back to text title"? Simply deleting or renaming the image would do it.

I see in your view source for the testimonials-manager sidebox an image call for
<img src="includes/templates/template_default/images/Testimonials" alt="" />
which is not a valid image filename, let alone the right image name.

A note for anyone interested: I have posted the basic code for adding the Images for Titles functionality to product names in the product listing page. It is in this thread. I expect to add it to the mod when I make the next release (no date planned yet).

I made the instructions as simple as I could. What part did you have trouble with? Are you sure you changed all /your_template/ folders in the mod package to your custom template name? Are you sure all of the files uploaded successfully to your server?

I can't get the Images for Titles to work. Question: I have followed the instructions (I believe) in the zip file, uploaded the folder as instructed. I viewed the source for the template, for example, is the category ID "categories"? The image I made is not showing, and I wasn't sure if I had the image named correctly as boxhead-categories.gif? I also tried naming it just categories.gif. I did change all of the folders to my template name. Any assistance is appreciated. My site I'm working on is http://elegant-memorials.com

Yes, the categories sidebox id is "categories", and boxhead-categories.gif should work for the code to pick it up and substitute it for the text. Have you tried this for any other sideboxes, or other kinds of titles? I notice you have Better Categories installed, and while I don't think they will interfere with each other, I can't be certain without checking.
Where do you have the image saved?
