    Default Shipping Setup Question

I posted this on the Shipping forum, but didn't get any responses. I have always had good luck posting in this forum, so hopefully someone can help.

Ok, I am trying to figure out the best way to setup the Shipping Modules to accomidate my needs. Please let me know what you think the best way to set this up would be. I am using Zen 1.3.7.

    Requirement:
    1. I would like to offer FREE SHIPPING on about 95% of my items.
    2. On the items that do qualify for FREE SHIPPING I would like to show a FREE SHIPPING icon in the Product Listing
    3. The remaining 5% of items can't be shipped for FREE due to the size and weight of these items. These items I would like to charge actual shipping based on WEIGHT.
    4. I only want this to apply for US shipping. Internationial will have to call for pricing.
    5. I only want this to be for Standard Ground Shipping, if they require expedited I will have them call since not all my vendors offer it.
    6. I would like to enter weights on every item, since one day I may switch back to a weight based shipping.

Please let me know the best way to do this. What modules should I install, do I need any custom code or a Mod to accomplish this.

    Thanks

If you have a threshold for your weight you can setup table based shipping and this will also take care of mixed free and not free ordes

Ok, can you maybe give me an example of how I would set the rates?

Also, what does the Radio button "Yes, Always Free Shipping" do on the page where you create your Products? I have selected this to test it, but I don't see anything special. It looked like there was some code that would show a "Free Shipping" icon if this was set.

    Thanks

Ok, so setup a weight based table shipping rates. I will try that.

Do you know how to get the "Yes, Always Free Shipping" feature on each product to work. I cannot figure out how to get the image to show on the product detail screen.

    Thanks

Actually, looking closer at your question, this should only require that "always free shipping" be selected in the product setup screen and the freeshipper module installed.

This does not address the image thing
