Product listing before page description?

You should be creating and working with your own template and not classic as if upgraded you will loose all your edits.

Get a copy of includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_index_product_list.php

After editing you will place this in includes/templates/classic/templates/tpl_index_product_list.php and if the templates folder does not exist create it.

Move the lines about 84 to 107 above the description code or most likely above the

if (PRODUCT_LIST_CATEGORIES_IMAGE_STATUS == 'true') {

Entry
- save and upload as above - if you make an error just delete your edited file and start over

Didn't work.... this is the message I received.

Sorry I have another question relating to what you said above.

You mentioned I should be using my own templates. I have copied the Classic templates and called them something else... How do I now get the site to work off the new templates?

Have you edited /includes/templates/your_template/template_info.php to reflect your custom name?
Go to admin > Tools > Template Manager and you should see your new template and Classic Contemporary Green at the lower right.

Thanks, I did this and can now see my template and made it the default.

As always this created another problem... alot of the customisation I have done has gone! Is there a clean and simple way to copy an existiing template or have I created major issues for myself?

Any files you have edited to make your custom layout can be copied to the appropriate /your_template/ subfolder, where it will be used in place of the default file.
