Hi Aaron,
This Calendar Module has helped a customer of mine - Nice
And will soon go into another's soon..
And with your tip about cleaning the script - Very Nice !
I am trying to add a few more display options at present.
But being a non programmer - I just need time to trial and error what I do :)

Hi everyone,
I can not get the calendar to work. I have tried all versions but nothing. Let me explain:
1. I am using zencart v1.38
2. I tried all different versions of the event calendar and all the same
3. I can access admin/events management but when I click on New Event nothing happens and I can not add an event
4. On the shop sidebox everything looks fine and the month is correct "October" but when I click on "Year View" nothing happens 5. When I try to change month nothing changes
I can not show you a link as currently I am running a local server for testing purposes, sorry.
Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks
Tassos
Ok I guess this script will not work with zencart. I have just had a look through the files and discovered that it uses too many javascripts i.e. cssjsmenuhover.css, spiffyCal_v2_1.css, cssjsmenuhover.css
Those are not native to Zen Cart neither they are included with the script.
Tassos
Not quite sure what you mean by that Tassos.
Javascript/css etc are all related to Linux.
Zencart is also just a php/linux program.
As you can read above on this page and the previous, the calendar works rather well (After a small cleanup)
I would suggest you looking at you linux setup on your private machine, to make sure it is setup like a normal Linux server would be.
If it is, all should be good !
All I can say Really, except, have a great evening :)

Hi aussie
We must be close to each other :-) (NSW)
I am very well aware of linux etc and this is not the problem. I am referring rather to the references to specific files throughout the php files.
For example in the events_manager.php there are the following references:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/cssjsmenuhover.css" media="all" id="hoverJS">
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/javascript/spiffyCal/spiffyCal_v2_1.css">
<script language="javascript" src="includes/menu.js"></script>
<script language="javascript" src="includes/general.js"></script>
That indicates that there are external stylesheets and javascript files that are not existent.
Also if you read my previous message the problem is that I can not get it to work. Although not a programmer believe me that this is the only module that I have not managed to get it to work.
If you have any ideas please do let me know :-)
Thanks
Tassos
Hi Tassos,
I am Blue Mountains Man.
Rather warm here tonight :)
With your above references, there are standard in my Zen Cart install under the admin/includes directory.
And as I have a look...
They are all part of the standard 1.3.8a ZenCart Install. (Raw)
So if you do not have them in your admin/includes directory, you might not have a full install that is 100% correct ?
That could be your reason why your Calendar install is not working well ?
(Speculating) :)

Hi aussie,
I am near Blacktown and we should be outside to cool down a bit rather than inside with that heat :-)
My apologies for the comments before the heat must be getting to me. I was looking at the wrong folders and you are correct they are there, sorry.
Maybe I will go outside to cool down the brain first and then give it another shot :-)
Tassos
Hi Tassos,
Blacktown is very close to my St. Marys Office :)
And your right, it would be a lot cooler outside than inside !
An no problems for the comments :)
Have a great night has I head for bed.
Cya at 4:40am :)
