Good grief.. I've culled through this entire thread and found the combination of various patches/fixes/hacks posted here for nearly 3 years.. and in all this time NO ONE has bundled this up and submitted a new version of this mod or even summarized the sum total of the changes required to get this module to work??!!!

This is by no means WORKING yet for me. I say that because though I now see the NEW EVENT form showing when I click the NEW EVENT button, I can see by the many posts here that that's not ANY indication that this module will even work.. So I have a boatload more testing to do before I will give this module a thumbs up..

I personally need something like this for a site I'm building and I want to get this thing working to the point where I can turn it over to a developer to fix all the remaining issues and add a few enhancements for my client (like RSVP/guest list management and reports).. AND before anyone asks, my client is paying for this custom code, so even if we do get it to our liking it's unlikely that I will be sharing the enhanced version with the community anytime soon -- sorry..

In the meantime I thought I save folks a few grey hairs and at LEAST summarize all the threads which contain all the gosh doggone patches needed to at least get this thing to LOOK like it works.. (like I said, I've yet to test out all the functionality as of yet) Here's all the threads I referenced..

Now pour yourself a STIFF drink and get ready.. Here is what I did..

I downloaded the mod from the free downloads, then I merged it with pixelpadre's posted fileset (attached to post #8 on the list above)

Then I applied every one of the changes posted in each one of the posts I listed above.. I uploaded the whole kit and kaboodle to my test site, ran the SQL patch, and darned if I FINALLY didn't see the new events form show up..

Off to test this mess..

Bewildered and befuddled..
