    Hi

Setting up the override system should be any new zenners priority. There are many reasons for this but the best one in my humble opinion is that when you mess up (and if your anything like me you will countless times) the original will always be there to copy across into your override to start again.

Anyway, if you tell me what your trying to remove I will help you if I can

It is the "have you got yours advertising & pic" on the main page that I want to remove I have gotten rid of everything else but seriously need to get my head round the override thing. Its all alot harder than I thought thats for sure. No wonder web desingners earn good money ???

Also not sure if you can help but is it in the stye sheets that you set up how your stuff is displayed on the page - ie my products descriptions all run one into the other arrggggggggggggg it looks yuck.

anyway thanks for the reply I do appreciate it.

I wholeheartedly suggest you get your override set up as soon as possible and if you can provide a link to your site that would be great too.

Setting up a custom template may seem daunting, but once you start playing with it, you'll get the hang of it. If you make changes to the files you received with ZC, your work will be lost with the next upgrade/update, so you're much better off playing around with the override system.

To create a very basic custom template (you can build from there), you need:
    • includes/languages/YOUR_TEMPLATE/english.php
    • includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/index.php
    • includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/header.php (to change the logo)
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_header.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer.php
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/images/logo.gif
    • includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css

Anywhere you see a /classic/ folder, you can create a folder for your custom template. You can copy the necessary files from either the /classic/ folder, the /template_default/ folder or the parent folder.

Edit includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/template_info.php to give your template identifying information so you'll recognize it in the admin under tools->template selection.

If you'd rather try a predesigned template, there are free ones in the download section. Visit http://(sorry, site offline)/ to see them in action.

It very clearly tells you where the file is located at the bottom of the advert.

This file is located in /languages/english/html_includes/classic/
NOTE: Always backup the files in /languages/english/html_includes/your_template

Yep I figured that out too - but only after I had to delete everything and start again - However I am pleased to advise that with trial and error I have managed to set up probaly 60% of the required overrides and not loose any more of my site !!

    regards
