Zen-Cart as virtual terminal

I was wondering if a module existed to use this as a virtual terminal. eg admin (or someone with admin permissions) records the sales transactions, takes peoples cheques or credit card details and enters it all against the appropriate products along with the customers' address details for delivery etc.

One possibility is using Master Password

logging in as the customer and entering the order the way they would.

Thanks - definitely an option. But also need to enter them as a customer too if they aren't already. So first one needs to be logged in as admin in order to create the customer (using the module for adding customers via admin). Then, rembering their email address (copying?) log off as admin and log in as customer and process their order. Seems a little cumbersome... is there a system for taking telephone orders using people's credit cards?

If they don't have an account, then just create one for them not from Admin but from catalog side. Then you're logged in as them already; place the order, etc.

OK seems to work. So why does one need the master password? I suppose if they already have an account and telephone in an order or something?

Precisely. This way you're covered for either eventuality:

- existing customer wants to order by phone
- new customer wants to order by phone
