Looking for more welcome email mod answers

I have been searching high and low through the forums as well as the wiki and still have not found my answers.

1) I would like to know how to expand the width of the welcome email that is sent out. I have found out how to change the logo that is used, but the width of the logo is greater than the email. I like the logo the way it is, so how do I expand the width of the template.

2) I want to add some code that is html in the create_account.php file, what html can I NOT use between the ' '? Can I use things such as <center> and such? I have like two paragraphs that I need to squeeze between the ' ' .

Anyone have a better way of doing these things?

As each version of ZC comes out it gets easier (thanks coders) but until we get 1.3.7 tested, we will still have to be able to do this in 1.2.x

If you are talking about version 1.3.7, the email stylesheet is embedded in the email template. In the case of the welcome email, email_template_welcome.html, found in the /email/ folder.

Buried in the CSS at the top of the file is

.header {font-size:10px; padding:0px; width:550px;}
.content {font-size:10px; padding:5px; width:550px;}


change as appropriate.

We are currently running 1.2.x so I guess I will have to keep digging around. I have found where the files are located for /email.

Also for some reason the css is not working (have not modded) so I will have to look into that as well.
