Merchant acct options

Hi, our business has an existing merchant account that we use for our credit card customers (we use a computer software to enter info), but now that our ZC site is set up, we'll like to switch and ideally integrate everything into ZC.

I'm wondering if Zen Cart offers any option for credit card processing. I see a bunch of payment modules, like authorize.net, etc., but am not familiar with them and not sure if that and similar modules are actual processing companies.

Any insight/advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a step process...

You have a merchant account with your bank already

the others like linkpoint and authorizenet are "gateway" processors that collect and validate the details and deposit to your merchant bank for a fee.

Any that are supported with a module, either preinstalled or added can work and you probably should discuss this with your bank if they have any details to setup for you.

This makes this a automated process but you can use the standard cc method and manually process these as you currently process others if you wish

Check with your merchant account provider which gateway you can use and check if there is a module for for this gateway available, either in the zencart standard install or in the contrib section.

Hopefully it could work with autorize.net. If you do not find any compatible gateway, you will have to make the module yourself of hire someone to do it for you.
