help with few simple modification.

Hello.
I have zen cart 1.3.5 ( i guess ) installed and before going live . I need few modification done to it .

1) how can I move Model Number to top of the page ( near the image ) on products detail ?

2) I need to change products weight from LB to KG. I looked everywhere on zen cart administration section and i failed to find a configuration option for this . i m sure i missing something or over looked a section .

Ok, I think i found how to change lbs To Kg .. i think i have to modify it in language file .. there is a define function that dose that. ( i hope ) .

now how to change Model number to read Manufacturer part number ?
and how i can move that to top of the page rather then showing on bottom of the page ???

Before you go too far, I STRONGLY recommend you upgrade to the most current version (1.3.7.1) to make sure you have all the security and other updates you need in place.

That said, you can modify your custom template through includes/templates/CUSTOM/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

Changing weight to kilograms can be found in this faq article:

Also, I highly recommend the e-Start Your Web Store With Zen Cart book. (links all over this site for it) For someone new to ZC, it's a good resource in getting your site set up.

Thanks. I figured the conversion of LBS to KG .. but other part still looking to see how to modify .. thanks for the info regarding the template section for modification..

I am in a process of upgrading to latest version , problem that i have is this.
DB already has been populated with products , images, price, etc. and i do wish to install new version of zen cart , rather update few files, so I will back up the database, reinstall zen cart and then i have to figure how i can populate new DB with whatever i have in backup one.
I need to install zen car ( new version ) on my own computer and test it to see if this will work , if so , i will do that on real server that running the site ..

PS: I am going to buy the book , not sure if this book any useful but , if thats a way to support zen cart , hey , anything goes.

There are upgrade instructions in your /docs/ directory and the book is worth every penny as it explain all of the Admin functionality.
