Hello Everyone:
I have been working on a site that is mostly for information. It's basically on how to design outdoor lighting for your home or business
The site takes a client through several steps in which they can select a product. This product has a price listed.
I have done all the design for this, but know when a client goes to the check out we do NOT want the client to buy or pay for anything. Instead we would like the client to print out the info and either contact us for a Contractor to install the product. The client will show the contractor what they have and get the products for the price they have gotten from the site.
or
they can find a contractor on their own and then that contractor will get the products from us.

I would like to delete the checkout some how and be able to have the client print out the info they have selected. Then have them ask us to find a contractor for them.
any help would be great

It you switch your Zen Cart to showroom, that will inhibit the checkout and instead put up a contact us button. They may still not be exactly what you want, so you might want to edit that contact us button to say print and add a little javascript to print the current page.

and if I do switch will it mess up all work?

I found it...
I don't think that's going to work I need to be able to have the cart so they can find out how much they are spending and be able to print the info.
I guess I have to figure a way to rewrite php files for the check out.
