No New Category Button?

I read this on how to add categories:

It references a "new category button", but I can't see it. (See attachment, excuse the bad quality, but the forum attachment rules force me to dial it way down.)

Am I blind? Am I not seeing the forrest for all the trees?

How can I add categories and get rid of that warning that pricing won't work properly because I have products in the Top Level Category?

Did you read the Note: in that tutorial?

You have to put products in a category. You cannot have products at top level and be able to add a category.

Sorry, I have the same problem, but I don't get it.
What did you do to create a new category?

In the screenshot above you can see that there's already one product listed. You can either have products or (sub)categories, not both, on the same level. I deleted the product and the New Category button showed up.

Thanks. I have quite a lot of products entered, so I suppose I have to delete them all and re-enter them.
