    Default Atributes question

I had a fix for this in oscommerce, but lost it, and not sure it would work anyway for zencart.

in the drop downs for atributes, it shows the prices along with the atributes. Can someone please tell me which files, and what code I would have to input to eliminate the price, and only show the item#

if you need an example, please visit http://www.allstonetoolsinc.com/inde...&products_id=8

    the drop down shows pricing.
thanks in advance for all your help.

Why would I want to buy something from you and not know the price?

First off, the prices in the atributes are not correct... when I set them up, they are only + the amount that I start with. For example,
the first atribute, is $135. and I need the second atribut to be $150. but when I do that, it adds $150 to the $135 which then makes the total amount on check out $285 which is incorect..
secondly, if I have the first atribute set at $135 and I want the other to equal $150 on check out, then for the second atribute I would have to put $15
now, that would be very confusing...
so I will be putting up tables, as I have many more options to add to the atributes, and the table will then have all the info for each item # including the price for each. So then the viewer will only need pick the item# they want from the drop down.

I am thinking this is the way to go. But if you have a better easier way, then I am all ears, and eyes.

hope this helps you understand more.
    thanks

First, decide do you want to see:

    Product Price $135
    Please Choose: Something
    Attrib #1
    Attrib #2 +$15.00

    -- OR --

    Product Price $135
    Please Choose: Something
    Attrib #1 $135.00
    Attrib #2 $150.00

Well, I geuss if those are my only two options, then I would want
    Product Price $135
    Please Choose: Something
    Attrib #1 $135.00
    Attrib #2 $150.00

as long as for example, attrib #2 calculates $150 on check out. that would be fine.

    thanks

    Option Name Manager ...

    Option Type: Radiobutton or Dropdown

    Option Value Manager ...
    Option Name: Something
    Option Value: Attrib #1
    Sort Order: 10

    Option Name: Something
    Option Value: Attrib #2
    Sort Order: 20

    Attributes Controller ...
    Option Name: Something

    Price: 135.00

    Option Name: Something
    Option Value: Attrib #2
Prefix: (blank as in nothing in there)
    Price: 150.00

NOTE: you can also add another Option Value such as:
    Pick one
    Select below
    Your Preference
    Whatever you want, etc. etc.

    and configure it to be:
    Sort Order: 0
