Default How can I make my site look like this

I am fairly good at zen cart but need help understanding what steps I need to go though to make my site look like this. I am starting out with the basic template.

Can someone give me the steps to make the layout like this. What do I turn on and off and ?

This is a big job but it can be done. The first thing you are going to need to do is understand the override system and the Zen Cart configuration. I suggest buying the Zen Cart book. Start with that.

In the config turn off listing any products on the front page, and turn off sideboxes on the main page per the instructions in tpl_main_page.php located in your template directory.

Your categories will need to be listed in the header, there are modules in the downloads section for this.

    * Alternatively - you could just make a custom home page, then put Zen Cart in a subdirectory called something like "store." *

That would be the easiest solution, actually (making a "new" home page). Doing it with ZC is do-able, and you could also use the EZ-pages function to make some of the links.

thanks!!! ok, I guess I will start with the basics.

    1. how do I get the item descriptions and pictures to layout like that.
// I just need single image with item description underneath and price

    2. How would I create the sort by size(drop down) and sort by latest syles?

    3. How do I get the page ordering 1234>>> to show up on the bottom?

    4. Once you click on image how do I get that page to look like that.

Note: any plug in suggestions would help

    Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I suggest going through all the tutorials here:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php

Getting the e-Start book (link in the header here in the forum and all over the site) and learning the template override system first.

Once you do that, you'll be in a better position to start moving things around because you'll understand what they do and where they go.

There are also third-part template tutorials to help you with learning the templating override system.

Your other option if you feel this is too much is to post in the commercial section looking for paid help.
