No CSS from LAN

I'm doing a test install on my LAN. Installed on a linux box. I can view everything fine from the localhost but I get text only from my other LAN computer. I've tried renaming .htaccess to .htaccess_OFF with no effect.

I suspect there is an error in my configure.php file but I'm confused as to what it should say. Here is the current setup.

My install is in /home/user/public_html. If I change the DIR_WS_CATALOG line to reflect /home/user/public_html I can't see CSS from the localhost. What am I missing?

Your "other LAN computer" sees "localhost" as *itself* ... because that's what "localhost" means.

If you're going to access it from several computers, you'll have to either use the IP address of the computer it's running on, or give each computer a name and tell each computer what name goes with which IP address ... often via a hosts file.

The localhost ip is 192.168.1.3. I have been able to connect to the zen cart all along from the other LAN comp with that ip but I get only text-no graphics. I tried changing httpd.conf from localhost to the ip# and that doesn't help.

You have to use the IP instead of "localhost" in your configure.php files on the website too.
