Manufacturer image??

I am currently displaying the manufacturer sidebox. Selecting from this list shows all that manufacturers products with category drop box. This is what I want, but is there a way to add a manufacturer image banner to this in place of the manufacture name.

I know that I can add an image to a category and have a designer list set up as subcategories with images, but if I use the category setup for this, I lose the category filter which is available with the manufacturer list.

Usually when you want to get a field you can with one of the existing functions ...

Something like the function: zen_get_products_manufacturers_image

might be of use to you ...
