Show selected attributes in Shopping Cart Box?

Hello,
I have a lot of attributes assigned to each of my products. When a customer selects a product with an attribute (eg, blue diaper) and "adds to cart", and then shops some more and selects a different colour (eg, green diaper), the shopping cart box simply says "1 ea. - Diaper" and then underneath that it says "1 ea Diaper". This would be so much better if it said "1 ea. - Diaper - blue" and under that "1 ea. Diaper - green".
Does anyone know how to get the chosen attribute(s) to show up in the shopping cart box?

Zen Cart already does this ...

unless you have your attributes setup wrong such as setting the Option Name to the Option Type READ ONLY which is strictly meant to be READ and not added to the shopping cart ...

The attribute does show up in the actual shopping cart checkout area, but not in the shopping cart box in the right hand column. See here:

There is not enough room in the shopping cart sidebox to show attributes on most shops ...

You might add a link to the shopping cart for the sidebox that specifies: Details ...

Or else, you can customize the shopping cart sidebox with your templates and overrides to include this additional information ...

I have had a look and I think you must be referring to the /mydirectory/tpl_shopping_cart.php file. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to successfully alter it to include these attributes. Does any one have any ideas - or can you tell me what string(s) I need to change? Thanks!
