If possible, yes, because sql database controls products/settings/
attributes etc, so using same one, means your new install
would mirror existing.
I tried creating a database before and miserably failed, thanks to autoinstall install I have been able to create many sites. I know there is a drawback to this when it comes to upgrading even though I'm not sure what the drawback is though. Maybe if I left it as is and just deleted all the demo products everything will be ok, but what about the credit card payments, how do you activate them.
Also have purchased that manual or at least seen some of the pages. Is it worth buying or is all the answers I need on this site and in the forums... I'm asking because after the currency conversion it will end up costing over $70.00 and I really need only a few questions answered the rest seems fairly logical.
I mean to ask have you purchased or seen the manual
With shipping in the US, the manual came to over $50 and I held off sending for it for quite a while. Saw there was a download version for less $ but found it can't be printedReceived the manual on Friday and am so glad I finally decided to send for it. Yes, all the info you need is (most likely) somewhere int he FAQ or the other help files here. But...... having everything in one place with an index is worth the cost to me.
And one thought about the cost: the software itself is FREE. If it helps your decision making process, think of the cost of the manual not as an add-on but as an investment in the software. (and don't forget to buy the team a cup of coffee every once in a while, too)
noted pal thanks I will the buy the book. Oh and how to they take coffeeI make the best your all invited
