    Default Core dump (ZC v1.3.7)

    Hi,

The Hard Drive on my server recently died and was replaced. All the site files / db were copied over by the server techs, and everything seems to work fine. However, a 40mb Core Dump file has been created within the 'shop' directory. I contacted the server to ask if it was anything to do with the crash. They say no, and it's "an issue with the application itself". So I'd be grateful for any thoughts from anybody as to whether this might be a ZC problem, and what may have caused it / what action I should take, or whether it's probably due to the crash and the server guys are just covering their arses, and I should just delete the file. I'm not familiar with Core Dumps at all - I've opened it in TextEdit, and the code means nothing to me.

    Thanks.

The core dump file was caused by the server crash - you host doesn't know what they are talking about.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

Many thanks Kim, I suspected as much. One cup of coffee on the way.

I am assuming that there is no reason for me to keep the Core dump..
