Perhaps look in the thread that supports the template you are modifying?

Links are in the common/tpl_header.php file in your template folder.
If the other thing is an image (right click on it to view the image to see if the text is part of the graphic) you can change the whole image out. If it's not, it might be the tagline, you can search the FAQ/tutorials (link at top of page) for this easy fix.
And if that doesn't work, you will have to refer to the template makers for help.
