    Default Re: Fedex Modules

I have recently installed the Fedex Modules, and they are working fine. However, I have a couple of issues:

First, the ground module only gives "Fedex Home Delivery", and not just plain-old "Fedex Ground", which is their cheapest rate, and the one I would use the most.

Secondly, the rates I'm getting back are way higher than they should be. Like shipping a zone 2 item, less than a pound is coming up with $8.43 for Fedex Home Delivery, and it should be $5.85. I don't have any handling surcharges enabled (fixed or percentage).

Note that my UPS values are much worse, and coming back about double the correct values, but I'm going to sort this with UPS first (if the ever call me back!).

Can you give me any direction to correct these 2 issues? Thanks.

    Issue 1
the ground is ONLY triggered if a company name is included in the account creation
this is because fedex ground is actually a B2B application

    issue 2

fedex shipping module displays the published rates, when you go to your fedex account and look up the rate you are seeing your discounted LIST rate,
these rates are private and are not to be displayed.

All of the rates are sent directly from fedex, zen cart just sends the info to and receivs the rafes from fedex

Ok. Thanks a lot for the info.

At those rates, I don't think many people will use Fedex. I'm probably going to just turn it off again.

those are the published rates, you would be surprised how many folks pay the higher rates,

but also remember that the mod you have will probably stop working soon,
it has already began, they are not taking any new clients for the api system

So would this explain why my client just called to inform me she is suddenly getting errors with the checkout in her store?? She's getting SQL connection errors and/or poor performance when her customers click the "Checkout" button.. I also noticed that the FedEx graphics stopped showing up correctly (requiring me to rename and re-upload the files)
