    Hi,

To change the colours you would need to change the relevant css. Once you have installed it post a link and someone will point out which css blocks you will need to look at.

Where are you getting the template from? if it is Template Monster I would suggest searching for it on this forum and read the issues that others have had with them.

after reading the descriptions between the two i was considering (both from here) i am going to download the bare bones template. Although i am struggling with installing it! not sure what i am doing wrong - i have downloaded the file, using the template default file as a base for it i have renamed the folder and moved the CSS file to the appropriate folder, have uploaded it via filezilla and nothing! it isnt showing up in admin! got to go out now but will have another go when i come back - if anyone notices any big mistake in what i have done - please tell me!!

the colours i want to use are . . .

    pink - #eb2c96 or #e1429a
    green - #eaf4cc and #bcd689

There should be an /includes/templates/barebones/template_info.php file included in the download. If I understand you correctly that you have changed /barebones/ (or whatever it was) to /your_custom_name/, you should also edit template_info.php to show the same name.
I don't know how the bare bones template is set up, but if it is properly structured you shouldn't need to be moving CSS files around - everything should be in the correct location already.

barebones only comes as one CSS file and one image file which shows the layout of the template.

    maybe i should try a different one . . .

I guess Barebones really is "barebones"... you can have a perfectly good template with only one stylesheet for layout (depending on what you want), but you need a template_info.php in the custom folder for Zen Cart to recognize it as an available template.
