    Default Problems with Attributes

    Hello All,

I set up a Zen Cart for a friend of mine and I'm running into problems with the attributes and the checkout process.

    REF: babylovin.com

If a user selects a product, then chooses any of the Fabric Options, I get the following error:

Warning Please update your order ...
    Available Fabrics
    ... Invalid Option Values Selected

If I do NOT select any fabric .... it goes through just fine.

Obviously I have a problem with my attributes and I just can't figure it out and my friend is freaking out because nobody can checkout successfully ... which of course means that nobody is buying anything.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I am not seeing the problem ... were you able to fix this? If so, what was the trick?

Thanks for the reply ... apparently the Attribute Flag: Display Only was the issue ... if the options are marked as display only and checked during checkout, the error starts ... too bad I had to figure this out by myself since the error message was so vague and the documentation was so limited .. it all started when I created the category to only display the Fabric options so that people could browse through them without having to go into a product ... in any case ... it's moving forward ... thanks again for your inquiry

Sorry you had trouble finding help on this ...

I peeked in the Attributes - Products Options forum and found in the 4th post the information on this ...
    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4810

Perhaps reading a little bit in that thread might be of help to you in the future on how to use attributes ...

Excuse me?? You presume that I didn't thoroughly read the forum before making my post.

Yes ... I previously read the article you pointed out ... and although it was informative, it did not explain to me the error message that I received and how to troubleshoot it ...

The attributes assigned to the Fabric Options WERE suppose to be Display Only as it wasn't a real product, but rather a place to view all of the available fabrics ... the problem stemmed from it being mistakenly copied to the OTHER products which carried over the flags.

Again ... I appreciate your assistance ... PERHAPS in the FUTURE you may want to rephrase your comments to something along the lines of "Have you seen the following article" or "The following is an article that may help you" or "If you haven't read the following article, check it out" instead of chastising someone for making a post with the assumption that the individual hasn't done any research beforehand.
