this will sound stupid....but how do i give the images a https connection?
If you are using a private SSL versus a shared SSL and have not hardcoded any of your images (meaning using a relative address) then you need do nothing as Zen Cart will handle this for you.

If you have hardcoded images convert them to relative links

    Hi
i checked your site using IE7 now it gives me red color bar so when I checked your SSL certificate
this is the error that I get
this certificate is not trusted one
    one suggestion
ask webhost to install the certificate again because in detail IE7 says that certificate is issued to 192.168.7.38 and is issued by same and detail analysis shows that it is for smartyhost.com.au so they have nt configured it properly

So it should be in respect to your domain name nt IP address

talk about driving me crazy!!! Arghhhh I really feel like I am banging my head against a wall.

Yesterday the site was working fine, 2 different machines, one a PC and one a MAC.

MAC - Firefox - Was working fine, Padlock ok, webaddress verfied by Equifax
MAC - IE - Same....working fine, padlock webbaddres verified by equifax
MAC - Safari - Same all working good

PC - Firefox - working fine padlock ok and verified by equifax
PC - IE7- working fine, padlock ok and web address verified.

Today......all gone wrong again! I did absolutely nothing to the site inbetween.

    This is driving us crazy.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Neil

At the moment I am on your site firefox and when i enter your site the first thing that i get is a big box stating that
unable to verify the identity of 192.168.7.38 as trusted site

I still say ask your host that configure the ssl properly I wonder why the smartyhost is not helping you to install the ssl properly because it is issued to them not to you (issued to 192.168.7.38 ) , if you are using this kind of certificate then you will need to have use shared ssl

So ask smartyhost guys that first reissue certificate in your domain name (if you have purchased from them) second install it properly as there is nothing in zen-cart code that has to be modified

I'm getting the broken padlock and when I click on it I get a list of all the links on the page
    EDITED - SORRY
I just listed all the links and they were mainly http not https
I just checked my last link which was my statcounter.
I removed it and now all is sweet with the padlock

    Thanks
    Steven

Ok, I had SSL put on my sight, but am getting the same issues with partial security, so my lock box is slashed out.

I can see the problem is some links in my footer going to "top sites" that I'm listed at, and my image header at the top of the page.

I don't know how to fix it.....I really don't want to remove the top listed links, because I do get a lot of traffic from them, and of course, I need my header! :)

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

    Sorry...site is paperthreads.com/store

    Ok, update...

I got the background and header image to work properly, I removed the "top sites" listings from my footer, but I'm still getting a partial certificate.

So, I guess these weren't the issues.
