If you bought through GoDaddy or some other inexpensive package, then no, this contrib. can't help you.
You need the point-to-verify functionality to use it.
In your case, just go ahead with the blank sidebox.
You can also have it display in the "corner of trust", your host should give you instructions on how to do that, or you can contact Comodo help via live chat.

Hi, I am trying to find the the column_left.php and html_headerjust files on the location you advise on your post and it does not seem to be there. All I have there is loads of file names starting with tpl.

    Thank you.

    Update:

This mod works great for me with the Safari and Firefox browswers, however I just discovered that it does not work with IE 6. The logo works great on non-SSL pages, but on SSL pages the pop up window shows IdAuthority Credentials are not available for this site.

I haven't had a chance to try this with IE 7 yet.

Any one else having this issue?

Update again: Works FINE with IE7, but still not with IE6.

    Anyone notice this also?

One possible factor is I am running IE6 on a VMWare Fusion VM.

The problem is NOT VMWare related. I tried it on a vanilla XP box with IE6 and got the error. I think IE6 is still around 30% of the browser market, so this is a large chunk of customers.

Can someone please test their install with IE6 and verify that it does or does not work?

Yes, you can see the error page at the URL below (remove the '+++'s from the URL)

I notice the same problem on another of my websites on a different host. Works great with every browser except IE6.

Any help or suggestions would be "mucho appreciado".

    I receive a good lock in IE6....

Might try and clear your browser cache and if on a win box also try opening a cmd window and entering

    ipconfig /flushdns

thanks for the suggestions. Icleared all files and cache, ran ipconfig /flushdns, rebooted modem, routers and PCs, tried on multiple machines in my office. all the same result with IE6.

IE6 shows a good lock, but the tooltip popup on the comodo secure site shows an error on the SSL pages (works fine on non SSL pages).
