Default Re: Installing SSL trust logos

Finally I decided to submit for review v. 1.0 of Comodo Corner of Trust installation.
What pushed me is the announcement of Zen Cart v. 2.0, and most of all this statement by sensei Byte:
"...javascript onload scripts are now handled with a simple .ini file to control behavior..."
In fact, I wasn't able to find a way to load the <body> javascript at the end of the file, and loading it at the beginning wouldn't work.
I know, I know, why not just put it in the template, right before </body>?
Well, that's the route I finally had to take, but I'm not satisfied with it.
I know it can be done dynamically, and the upcoming release will facilitate things for me.
So it was not worthwhile to continue tinkering with the issue, since it will soon become obsolete.

Fred, this is a contrib. written for Comodo, you will have to adapt the scripts for your seal, it shouldn't be hard.
If problems, there is always this support thread.

The contrib was submitted to the "Other" section, since it is not a sidebox and there was no other suitable category.
If there is an urgent need, will post here, but best practice is to download from the appropriate section.

    STOP!
I just discovered that while loading the jscript dynamically works, it will break hover functionality in IH2.
IH2 loads its own jscript in same folder, so please abstain from using the contrib if you use IH2 or...revert to the safe ol' method

    WAIT!
The script works if enclosed in <script> tags and renamed to the .php extension.
It doesn't break IH2 like so.
Am now repackaging the contrib and resubmitting.

Thanks for the heads up! I was just hunkering down to do some updates and this was to be one of them.

All right, here's a more detailed explanation, the last one was quick and dirty.
Image Handler 2 installs its imagehover javascript in template_default/jscript folder.
If Zen Cart finds any javascript in CUSTOM/jscript, it will read it and stop looking for scripts in template_default.
Actually what it does is "peek" first in the custom template.
So, the work-around is to enclose the javascripts in CUSTOM in a PHP wrapper, to trick Zen Cart so it won't stop looking.
I had already ran into this problem in another contrib: "Attribute popup large images", so was acquainted with this behavior.

    HI zenners,
After battling with COMODO for almost a month, they've re-issued the Corner of Trust certificate or whatever magic they do to validate it.
I'm using this mod to display the Corner of Trust logo
The funny thing is that on IE and Safari the image looks fine, but not in Firefox, where it displays only a text "SSL Certificate".

    Any idea of why?

    Thanks!

    avantik,

I receive an error about your certificate and this is due to the cert being issued to secure.valeriadesigns.com and your site/shop being at store.valeriadesigns.com

    Hi Kobra,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
That was what COMODO was supposed to fix. Can you either PM'me a screen shot of the error or post it here?
I'm not getting that error...and now just tested IE6,IE7,IE8 and safari again and all seems to work. Only firefox is the issue
    Thanks!

    avantik,
It should not be a FF issue at all as the real issue us that the certificate is issued to

    secure.valeriadesigns.com

and your site is actually at a different url

    store.valeriadesigns.com

PM me with your email for an image

Comodo Corner of Trust v 1.0 on ZC 1.3.8a, many mods. Site originally built with 1.3.7 and IE7, then rebuilt using firefox and tweaked for IE7 then IE8.

Customer couldn't use contact form because when he clicked send he got the comodo info that you get when doing a mouseover on the corner trust logo.

I duplicated his error by using a reduced window which put the transparent upper left portion of the logo to overlapping the 'send' button when the contact form is active.

(While investigating, I checked http://browsershots.org/http://www.meafordwool.com/ and notice that the logo doesn't show up at all in some browsers - not to mention that the entire web site doesn't show up in some!)

Are there any tweaks of prevent logo overlapping other bits?
