Default My Zen Cart does not work after server crash

    Hello,
I could not find right section of forum.

    This is what did happen:

My Web hosting company had drive crash on their server (this is their description).
I have Zen Cart there 1.2.6.

After they "recreated" site I have following problems:

I can see main page, but sometimes I need to refresh it couple times.
Otherwise note comes "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
I can see category pages with the same lack.
I can not see products pages.
The page always comes "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". When i click button back on browser, I see product is blinking and disapereing.

My admin password does not work anymore.
When I type loging name and password and click ENTER, I got following picture:
    http://idtagsonline.com/loggin_error.gif

Right of loggin button this message comes: <a style="float: right;" href="

I feel my hosting provider does not have any ideas how to fix it buy now.
They offer Zen Cart for installation through Fantastico on CP panel, but not support.

I did not do anything myself yet, as I prefere not damage anything even more.

My first though was use "Resend Password".
Does it make sence? (I am not positive this will work).

However I have a feeling than even restore of Zen Cart was performed there is some mismatch somewhere.

    Any suggestions where to start?

    Thanks for help in advance.

Just learned that web hosting provider uses PHP 5.2.1, and my cart is 1.2.6.
I requested date on chage of PHP, to corelete to my problem.
They could decide to update to PHP 5.2.1 after server crash.

But anyway, I have 1.2.6 Zen Cart and PHP 5.2.1 now.
What would be short term solution. Please, advise.

I understand long term solution - to upgrade to 1.3.7.1

    Thanks,

thats pretty much your short term solution as well,
I would also suggest taking a look at the top of the page for a hosting company that actually knows and supports zen cart,
just because you can install it through fantastico dosnt mean they will support it in any way

I have a backup on my PC from two sources.

One from Zen adming backup MySQL.

Second from Cpanel: complete site backup and MySql backup in GZ format.

Sould I upload it to Cpanel backup area and restore from there?

    Which one?

You will probably be OK just running the mysql backup in phpmyadmin

    Sorry for repetion.

    I wrote before:

Can be this problem triggered just by upgrading to PHP 5.2.1, or there could be something else that web host does not want to admit?
I personaly do not have any reason to suspect.

Just my site 1.2.6 was working for a year and I did not make any changes.
But after crash and rebuilding of server I suddenly can not access anymore to admin.

I asked host if upgrading to PHP 5.2.1 could owerite any of Zen Cart files.
    And answer was NO.

So, why logging does not work is a big question for me.

I am afraid to move from here to 1.3.7 without fixing admin access at first.

    Does this make sence?

You have files that were corrupted by the crash.....you will need to upload files from your site backup and possibly reload your database via phpMyAdmins import feature to get everything running again
