Image on sidebox edges

I want to put an image on the right side of my left sideboxes and an image on the left side of my right sideboxes or put an image on the left and right sides of my center box. How do I do this?

In your stylesheet.css file find and possibly seperate these and add a background image with I suppose a vertical repeat or "repeat-y" and position left or right

Add to your stylesheet

.leftBoxContainer {
    background: url(../images/yourleftboxbg.gif) top right repeat-y;
    }

.rightBoxContainer {
    background: url(../images/yourrightboxbg.gif) top left repeat-y;
    }

Save the image files in /includes/templates/your_template/images/.
