Help--home page no longer shows up in E-Z pages editor

Hello,

For some reason the home page no longer shows up in the E-Z pages editor--
it's just blank. All the other E-Z pages are showing up as before. I can still
edit the code from the define page in /includes/languages/english/html/html_includes but my client needs to use
the E-Z page editor.

I recently activated the HTMLarea editor in the admin so client can use images and hyperlinks in the welcome e-mail message and any direct e-mail she needs to send. This was done at her request.

She also edited the home page recently using the E-Z editor. She deleted
some text without deleting the associated HTML tags. The HTML she left in
was <h2><br /></h2>. Could this have caused the E-Z page editor to
choke? I deleted this code from define page define_main_page.php.
Does the HTML get stored in the db along with text for E-Z pages? Do I
need to figure out how to delete it from the table?
