Add mesage during payment confirmaton

Hello, I would like to add a mesage specific to Paypal payment on checkout_confirmation page (for paypal only). What is the best practice to do that?

The simple way - just alter the text on the thank you page (checkout_success.php) to include text saying "If you paid using PayPal, then "da da da da your text here".

The more detailed way - Do the same as above, only add the statement to your own "if then" code to display only if the payment was from PayPal.
