    Default Urgent Help Requested - all my categories and products missing

    Hi....


    I am hoping someone can help me with this problem. It's so unbelievable how this happened. Just yesterday -- I went to delete a category that was a blank category. After deleting it, it ERASED all my products and categories. (all 5000 of them!)

    I have a backup of my SQL database, that had most all the products on it, but I don't know how to replace it. I went to look on the help section of how to upload the backup sql, but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I do have a backup of the DB and my store.

    I tried to upload it (sql) using phpmyadmin, and it wouldn't take it, it gave me this error: SET SQL_MODE="NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO"; no found.

    I'm not sure what to do. I'm using the latest version of 3.7.x of zen. I'm in a huge panic to have this fixed. This store was suppose to go live before Nov. 1. GRRRR...

    You may wish to post in the Commercial Help Wanted forum as this is going to take some time to check things out and get things back in shape ... most may wish to have a little something for that effort to save you from yourself ...

    Hi,

    No one responded to me, but I wanted to post back the results of resolving this issue in case this happens to someone else.

    I went to phpmyadmin, then went into the database, (clicked on export) and save as an sql file to backup before changing the db. After backing up, I went into the main page of the db and checked all the items and dumped the old db, then went to import and imported my db file that I had backed up previously before the crash. The db was getting the error previously, because when you save backups, it added this time stamp and other stuff at the top of the file. After deleting it and just starting with the entries, the file uploaded with no problems, and I was able to retrieve my products for the store. I'm glad I had the backup and phpmyadmin comes in handy.
