Ok, I give up.
My FTP program shows that the file is uploaded into the 'downloads' folder as it should be.
I KNOW I've spelled the file name correctly in the attributes area when attaching the attribute to the product.
I've checked the admin/includes/configure.php file and it's pointed to the correct folder for downloads.
All of the 'test' zip files work correctly (the ones that come pre-installed with zen-cart) when attaching them to a download attribute in the cart....
but I just cannot get MY actual download files to be 'seen' by zencart!!
I've tried them in .zip format, .mwv format, .divx format...... I've tried them with a cow, I've tried them on a plane, and in a train--and I REALLY WANT TO LIKE MY GREEN EGGS AND HAM!! (Ok, sorry for the Seuss reference..).
I've tried this with 3 different installs (our 'live' cart, our 'test' cart--both are on the same server; and 1 new cart on a totally different server)...and NONE of them show the file name as valid.
Any suggestions?
Oh, I've tried it with the attributes settings on 'download' 'download via redirect' and 'download via streaming' and get the same 'invalid filename' with each.
I've spend a day screwing around with this so far....any suggestions?
CJ
