I thought I created the overrides correctly, but page is not the same

You should be able to tell what files were modified by the dates on the files. Use my list as a starting point. There are some settings in the admin (like sideboxes) that have to be set for each template individually.

ok, the difference must be in admin settings. Is there any way to transfer these settings? It would be a nice feature to have. They must be located in the database somewhere.

I'm still learning the admin tool and figuring out where everything is located. I'm sure there is logic to it, but its tough to unravel. I'm not computer illiterate having done some programming and simple web pages in the past.

I'm probably not going to worry about this for the time being I've got some books to read and I'm sure I'll figure it out once my knowledge level gets more complete.

If you look in the downloads section, there's a mod that will allow you to make your sidebox settings the default from template to template.
